Rudolph has been a practicing attorney for more than 22 years. He has extensive experience in a wide range of legal fields due to the diversity of legal work he attended during this time. He heads up Boshoff Smuts Inc’s litigation – and commercial departments.
He attends to all litigious matters, concentrating on High Court litigation. Due to his experience and knowledge gained over the years and when he is not involved in High Court litigation, he now almost exclusively deals with commercial and contractual matters. He has successfully represented, in litigation and in commercial transactions, various companies, trusts, and other entities in a wide spectrum of matters. This includes the drafting of various contractual agreements, mergers, and acquisitions, joint ventures as well as agreements dealing with company, property and financial law. His extensive experience allows him to combine his litigious and commercial knowledge to assist client’s individual needs in drafting and deal structuring.
Rudolph also oversees other areas within Boshoff Smuts Inc, such as magistrate court matters and the collection of outstanding debts handle by the firm’s associate attorneys. He has in the past participated in business rescue matters and has obtained a business rescue practice qualification. Other fields he previously was involved with were assists filling station owners in their business ventures and advising them with regards to the associated environmental legislation. He has well-founded knowledge to assist farmers in various aspects associated with farming practices, including financial matters and in the past representing farmers in Landbank disputes.

Director Johan Smuts is Head of the Mining, Environmental & Resources practice area; also lending his expertise to the Corporate Division practice areas. Johan is deeply skilled in matters relating to due diligence; opinion work; administrative appeals and reviews; regulatory compliance; and resources law. He is a soughtafter advisor on mining transactions; mining disputes; and all aspects of the MPRDA, NWA & NEMA. Johan advised several junior and listed mining companies on regulatory compliance and deal structuring.
Johan provides multi-disciplinary legal and related services to high-tier corporate clients and views himself as a successful dealmaker through his sophisticated set of interpersonal and organisational skills.

Nadia is an admitted attorney and heads up the family law division, which includes divorces, custody-related matters, contact rights, maintenance matters, domestic violence, and working with matters where children are in need of care and protection.
Nadia is also a qualified mediator and a member of the Social Justice Foundation. With her extensive experience in family law, Nadia has the knowledge to guide parties through mediation and to assist them during this process to find the unique solution for their unique situation.
Furthermore, she has experience in litigation and commercial law, where she advises and guide clients and negotiate and draft agreements. Nadia also forms part of the mining and environmental law division where she assists in drafting commercial agreements and advises clients on regulatory matters.
